Melissa Dettwiller should definitely have taken first place. On what planet do three different judges not choose Melissa Dettwiller as the number-one competitor of this contest? One would have to imagine that there are a lot of politics involved in judging these types of contest.
Melissa Dettwiller is building up quite the bodybuilding résumé. Along with her most recent third-place finish at the Junior nationals, she finished in 10th place in 2005 at the USA championship, first-place at the Louisiana state championship making her Miss Louisiana 2005, a second-place finish at the 2005 Junior nationals, second-place at the 2005 Southern Classic in Jackson, Mississippi, and a first-place finish back in 2004 at the John Shermann classic in Houston, Texas.
Anyone who has been keeping up with Melissa Dettwiller over the past year has seen the dramatic changes to her body that has taken place. Melissa has added dramatic size to her short frame while still remaining incredibly lean. Onstage, Melissa Dettwiller looked stunning. So, how is it that Melissa Dettwiller finished a place below in the Junior nationals van she did one year ago when she was nowhere near as muscular as she is now.
